Oral surgery might be something that you have to go through. This is something that you do have to prepare for, as well. We provide all of our patients with a list of things to do before your surgery, as well as after and it is recommended that you follow this for the best possible outcome. Being prepared for the procedure is the best way to make sure that it goes as smoothly as possible. Preparing for the Oral Surgery You're Going to HaveThe oral surgery that you have will change what specifically you need to do. For the most part, not eating or drinking anything past a specific time of night the night before is important. This is for your health and to ensure that the any anesthesia is able to do the job it is meant to do. Make sure to have the proper identification, your insurance card, and any other paperwork that is required for the procedure. This may be required for those that are going to a new facility to have this surgery done and not in the normal dental office. We do recommend that you have someone pick you up and drive you after the surgery, as you will have had medications that are not advisable to drive on. It is best to rest and not drive after this. We also recommend that any after-care instructions that we provide you with should be followed for the quickest, and best possible healing process. If you have any further questions or want any further information, then it is important to give our office a call or to ask while you are here. We are more than happy to provide our patients with the peace of mind that they want and need on the oral surgery you are about to have. |
